Business cards: if they’re not digital, are they so yesterday?🤔Many will say yes, they’re a waste of trees. For those who enjoy the tactile experiences of flipping the pages of a book or unwrapping a beautiful gift, being handed a unique business card can spark a hint of joy and evoke curiosity! I needed cards for our new location and these sleek vertical ones in thick card stock with glimmery gold foil chairs was just the look I wanted! Functional as well: all important info is on the back! Tuesday Tip: Repetition in form in a subtle way adds to a cohesive look. The angles of the hexagon floor are repeated in the chairs, and the circular shape of the table and curved chairs are repeated in the dome pendant. Vases, trays and even the eucalyptus branches all repeat the curved form here.

Palm Beach Kips Bay Showhouse Part Ii: Filled with layers of eye candy for the design-minded, we took some noteworthy morsels away! Swipe right for interior ideas! ~1. Go bold on walls! Robert Brown’s clean lines, bold shapes and colours were standout, pattern and dimension of a screen behind the sofa was stunning! 2. Remember the ceiling! Nikki Levy added great drama to the master bathroom with gold metal rods on the ceiling and a linear pattern of lights. 3. Tent it! Ashley Gilbreath used multiple striped patterns beautifully, creating a cocooning canopy effect in the master bedroom. 4. Swings are hot! Tiffany Brooks took it to a new level by creating a swing daybed in this cheery bedroom! 5. Add dimension to walls AND ceiling! The gridded ceiling and walls by Paloma Contreras made the sunroom feel larger and so textural! 6. Add some rich deep gloss to walls, as Joy Street Design does in this gorgeous vanity or bar nook! Finally, 7. Let your art stir you in some way! We’re obsessed with this fabulous art selected by Goddard Design!

Designer Tour: Kips Bay Decorator Show House 2022 in Palm Beach (Part 1) - As a design lover, It’s always on my mind, even when on vacation. A prominent historic estate filled with designs from experts all over the country was a must-see. Alive with maximalist style in colour, texture, and pattern, this showhouse conveyed a clear ‘Let’s get extra’ vibe. Swipe right to see the many exterior porches and lounging spaces on the estate grounds. We loved the use of geometric patterns, the layering of multiple patterns, and interesting wall and painted surfaces. Use of very extra details such as leather fringe on chairs, scallops on umbrellas, pops of unusual colour and lots of woven wicker and cane are trends we’ll see more of. Happy 2022! Keep this year’s #decorstyle fresh with a few ideas for your spaces! Warm tones are big; adding small accents of warm woods, chestnut leather and items with golden, rust and caramel hues will keep your look current, particularly in spaces with white or grey walls. Sculpture, candlesticks or vases with a brutalist design (raw and hard-edged, simplistic, geometric shaped) in black iron, brass or bronze are stunning accents for 2022! Textural and tactile surfaces keep us feeling cozy! Choose heavy weaves in rugs and select upholstery or pillows in boucle, mohair, sherpa and velvet for cuddle-worthy luxury. Biophilia is still a current trend, but this year focus on selecting “statement” plants in unique shapes -pencil cactus, bunny ears cactus or dracaena. Plant these in simple brutalist shaped planters for the perfect look!
